Follow up instructions |

STEP #1: View Lead & Confirm the Lead Assignment |

Click the orange View / Update Lead button at the top of the SALES LEAD ALERT email you received.
|
|

|
This will take you directly to the LeadCentral Lead Detail form. This form provides everything we know about this prospect and how the lead was generated.
|
|

|
|
Click the blue View Profile button (right side of top, blue bar) to vew the prospect’s name, company, and contact information.
|
|
|
|
|
|

|
If this is correctly assigned to you, proceed to Step #2.
|
|

|
|
If the lead should not be assigned to you, click the orange Reassign Lead button and select the appropriate person from the pull down list provided. LeadCentral will automatically send an assignment email to the newly assigned person. Further follow up and updates becomes the newly assigned person's responsibility.

STEP #2: Contact the Prospect |

Click the orange View Lead Source button in the top right of the main white area of the Lead Detail form to learn more about the marketing initiative that prompted this prospect to take an action that generated this lead for you. Knowing this will help you better focus your follow up.

|
This lead should have an email and may have a phone number for this prospect. Use whichever method works best for you. Remember: if this lead is graded Hot, the prospect has requested your follow up, so please contact them as soon as possible. |

STEP #3: Follow Up - IMPORTANT! |

Provide updates throughout the life cycle of the lead in Follow Up section (right blue bar). It takes less than a minute to provide updates -- and you can add your sales notes for future reference.
Make sure you update the Sales Status throughout the life cycle of the lead.

Your lead follow up keeps sales management up to speed on early sales pipeline activity and helps our marketing team continually improve lead generation initiatives. |

Reporting |
|
Until you have either reassigned or closed this lead, it will appear on your weekly open lead report (lists each open lead and includes a link to the Lead Detail form for each open lead. |
ABB EL sales management receives a report of all assigned open leads each week. Once a month, sales management also receives a summary report highlighting lead follow up performance. |
